Pedmore Cricket Club

Welcome to the 'virtual' home of Pedmore Cricket Club

Founded in Stourbridge in the West Midlands in 1887, Pedmore Cricket Club competes in the top division of the Worcestershire County League, a feeder league to the Birmingham & District Premier Cricket League in the ECB pyramid structure. 2012 is the Clubs 125th anniversary season.

The Club is again striving for a successful season in 2012, following a fine 2011 campaign which saw the 1st XI become Worcestershire County Cricket League knock-out Champions and finish 6th on their return to Division 1. As well as sucess for the 1st XI, the 2nd XI won the top Division of their competition by the comfortable margin of 31 points and completed a league and cup double by securing the 2nd XI KO Cup.

That's eight 'winners' trophies in the last four seasons for the Saturday league sides...

The Club's youth section also had a successful season in 2011 with various age groups prospering, and in particular the U16s, led by Jack Matthews, having a brilliant season.

Not ones to 'rest on our laurels', we are looking for a mix of youth and experienced players to add to each of our teams. The Club runs Saturday 1st, 2nd and 3rd XI teams in the Worcestershire County League, and 1st and 2nd XI teams in the Worcester Sunday Border League as well as a mid week team that plays in the Premier Division of the Wilden Industrial Estates Cricket League (which it won in 2011). The Club also has a thriving youth section; and has ECB Level II coaches to nurture budding talent! We have excellent playing and training facilities in prime surroundings (check out our ground above) as well as a healthy social set-up.

If would like to find out more just pop along and visit us on a Club Evening - every Tuesday evening, March through to October.
